Bangkok Shopping Guide: Luxury Edition

The Best Malls for High-End Shopping in Bangkok

You've seen the temples, eaten the street food, shuffled through the markets, now you are craving some air-conditioning, fancy food, and A+ service while you shop for high-end souvenirs.

Luxury malls in Bangkok offer an unparalleled and opulent shopping experience and some of the best are right near your hotel at BTS Phrom Phong and BTS Asok stations. Most malls in Bangkok are open from 10am to 10pm, but check before you go.

EmSphere

This brand spanking new mall is the baby sister of the ‘Em District’ mall triplets. It has an IKEA, a 6,000-seat arena, and some fantastic local food chains like Panetti by Peppina, Rongklanuea, and El Mercado. Less focus is on fashion in this trendy, hip new addition. Their main vibe is living, lifestyle, beauty, and accessories.

This luxe mall comprises the Glass Quartier for top-end fashion and beauty brands like Issey Miyake, Diane Von Furstenberg, and Jimmy Choo. The Waterfall Quartier - with Southeast Asia's largest manmade waterfall - hosts 60+ Thai fashion brands and an IMAX theater. The Helix Quartier is where you'll find 50+ restaurants ascending an impressive spiral walkway, designed to look like the Guggenheim.

Terminal 21

A shopping destination with a creative twist; the mall mimics an airport terminal, and each floor is themed after a different world city, offering a bit of fun while you shop. With a range of more casual shops like H&M, Levi’s, and Rip Curl, this mall is not as focused on luxury, but is fantastic for their market-style local clothing shopping on the 3rd floor where you can find one-of-a-kind gems.
