Lifestyle, boutique or design?

These labels overlap, but each helps you ask a different question. Boutique points you towards scale and individual character. Design asks you to look at the rooms and public spaces. Lifestyle is about how you spend the day: eating, working, meeting people and stepping into the neighbourhood, as well as sleeping.

Public House has 79 rooms and suites across nine categories in Phrom Phong. Use our boutique hotel decision guide to compare practical priorities and our design hotel guide to explore the spaces themselves. Here, follow a possible day and decide which parts you would make your own.

Morning: breakfast, without the buffet circuit

Start at SWD on the Lobby Floor. Breakfast is cooked to order and served from 7 AM to noon. Choose plates ranging from pancakes and eggs to congee, with locally roasted Karo coffee, fruit and juice. That broad breakfast window lets an early outing and a slower morning fit the same stay.

Breakfast inclusion depends on the rate plan, so check your booking details. SWD also serves through the day, with a wood-fired oven and Josper grill at the heart of the kitchen. You can return for a meal without needing to turn every lunch or dinner into a separate city expedition.

Late morning: make room for a work session

If you have work to do, FORUM is the hotel's coworking zone. Desks are bookable, with space to work and meet. Plan around the task you need to finish, then leave yourself a clear stopping point for the city.

For recording, THE PODCAST LOUNGE has soundproofed walls and supports guests joining in person or by broadband video chat. Sessions are bookable. The creative-space page explains the available booking benefits and enquiry routes; check those for your stay rather than assuming unlimited coworking or studio use is included. FLEXI-ROOM is another option for a presentation, launch or gathering that needs a dedicated event setting.

Afternoon: let Bangkok set the direction

Head out from Soi Sukhumvit 31 into Phrom Phong. The Em District and Benchasiri Park give you shopping and a green-space stop to build around. Use the arrival and location guide and neighbourhood guide to choose the next part of your day.

The hotel is not on the BTS doorstep. Decide whether to walk or take a ride according to the weather, your bags and your plans. The neighbourhood setting suits a trip with time to explore; if immediate station access is your first requirement, weigh that carefully. Avoid building a tight schedule around a fixed road journey time in Bangkok traffic.

Back upstairs: a compact rooftop pause

THE MOOON is the rooftop setting for a guest-only pool, loungers and food and drinks from a selection of SWD's menu. The pool is open from 8 AM to 8 PM. It is compact and mural-edged, suited to cooling down and a pause above the city rather than a whole resort day.

The gym is also compact and for in-house guests, with Technogym equipment and 24-hour access. Think about the workout you want to do before choosing a hotel around its fitness facilities. Public House is not a resort, and the rooftop works best as one part of a stay that also takes you outside.

Evening: a meal and a conversation downstairs

OPEN BAR sits on the Lobby Floor alongside SWD. Both open from 7 AM to midnight, giving you an evening option at the hotel after exploring Bangkok. You can look at the drinks menu and table-booking links on the venue pages before deciding where to settle.

Check Happenings for the current programme if you want a date-specific plan. A lifestyle hotel gives you choices about social time; it does not require you to fill every hour. A meal downstairs and an early return to your room can be as useful as a full evening out.

Music and stories in the house

In a Time Out interview published on 5 November 2025, Aydan Stuart describes recording with travel writer Joe Cummings in the podcast studio at Public House. It is a concrete glimpse of the lounge in use, beyond its equipment and booking options.

Time Out’s 22 June 2026 music preview announced the Southeastern Gathering at Public House for 20 to 25 October 2026, with workshops, jams and acoustic performances. This is dated coverage, not a promise of nightly music. Check the current programme and confirm arrangements with the organiser before planning around a session.

Choose the room that supports your rhythm

If you will be out most of the day, start with the Downtown Room. For room-based work, compare the corner layout and writing desk in Edge of the City with a suite's separate living area. For private outdoor space, look at Sky Terrace. Use the room guide to compare the actual layout and sleeping arrangement for your party.

This stay fits travellers who want dining, creative spaces and a neighbourhood base in one hotel. The tradeoffs are the walk or ride to the BTS and compact leisure facilities.

Choose your booking channel

Our hotel-direct booking buttons open the Public House SynXis booking engine. Booking direct includes guaranteed late checkout until 2 PM and flexible early check-in from 7 AM whenever the room is ready. A next-category room upgrade is subject to availability. See current offers for separate promotion terms.

For Marriott Bonvoy, use the official Marriott hotel profile and select an eligible booking. Points and member benefits depend on the booking channel, rate and membership terms. Read the Design Hotels Marriott Bonvoy benefits; do not assume the hotel-direct benefits and Bonvoy benefits combine. Explore the Design Hotels property profile for our partner listing.

Before you book

What is the best lifestyle hotel in Bangkok for my trip?

The best fit depends on how you spend your days. Consider Public House Bangkok if you want dining, bookable creative spaces and a neighbourhood base, and are comfortable with compact guest-only pool and gym facilities and a walk or ride to the BTS.

Is coworking included with every stay?

FORUM desks are bookable. Check the creative-space page and your chosen offer for inclusions; do not assume every room booking includes unlimited coworking or podcast studio use.
