Staying Fit on Vacation in Bangkok

You have been planning your Thailand holiday for months, you are booked in to stay at the hippest boutique luxury hotel in Bangkok – Public House Sukhumvit 31, but what about your gym schedule? How will you keep up with your steps? How will you balance your chi? Where will you find healthy Thai food?

Thailand Holiday with a Side of Fitness

You're here to make memories on your Thailand vacation but that doesn't mean you have to leave your fitness goals at home. It's all about balance and we have your Yin and your Yang all within walking distance from Public House, your gateway to an exciting and active neighborhood.

Bangkok Yoga

Yoga is so popular here as it aligns with the Thai belief in balance and harmony. Thai people have a deep appreciation for holistic health and wellness, exercise, mental, and spiritual wellbeing.

Right across the street, you will find the serene space of Green Room Bangkok Yoga Studio where they do gong sound baths, breath work, and several kinds of yoga starting at 490 baht for a walk-in guest. Check their schedule on their website

Ask the Public House staff about upcoming Public House events including future rooftop helipad Yoga BKK sessions!

Just 500 meters from Public House is a Fitness First gym Bangkok in the Biohouse Building. Open 6am to 10pm daily. If you have a platinum membership, you can work out in any Fitness First in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand. Sign up for a free trial on their website.

For those with a Virgin Active membership, Virgin Active EmQuartier is just 950 meters away from Public House. Sign up for a tree trial on their website to see their incredible facilities which include salt rooms, a climbing wall, and hundreds of weekly classes.

Dance in Bangkok

Also in Biohouse are our good friends at Studio Zoom where you can join dance classes as a walk-in visitor starting at 550 baht. They specialize in hip hop, jazz, contemporary dance, and Zumba! Check out their schedule on their website.

Muay Thai Bangkok

How could any fitness lover pass up the opportunity while in Bangkok to practice Thai boxing – Muay Thai – the national sport and cultural martial art of Thailand. Luckily, just 900 meters from Public House is the RSM Muay Thai Academy where both beginners and experts train. Contact them on Facebook for more info about classes or private training.

Bangkok Parks

For a more au naturel experience, Bangkok boasts beautiful green spaces where you can take a leisurely stroll, jog, swim, or bike. One of our favorite spots is the charming Benjasiri Park on Sukhumvit Road, only 900 meters from Public House. Benjasiri Park has a jogging track, basketball courts, a skate park, and a 6-lane, 25-meter long outdoor swimming pool.

For bike riders, you have to go a little farther (1.6km from Public House) to the incredible 3-park paradise of Benjakitti Park, Benjakitti Forest Park, and Lumpini Park which are connected by the bicycle-friendly “Green Mile” walkway.

Chillin' on a Rooftop

After all that exercise, when it’s time to regenerate and reinvigorate, pop up to the top floor of Public House to The Mooon, where the hotel's rooftop pool is your sanctuary. Spend some valuable recuperation time soaking up the sun and taking in the panoramic city views.

Afterall, what is even the point of going to Bangkok if you don’t get the perfect Instagram photos by a Bangkok hotel rooftop pool?
